The families of Nairobi-based biker Elvis Khamala, widely known online as Gustavo (or Gustavo Rides / Luhya Kidd Jnr), and his wife Diana Mwai have announced funeral arrangements following a tragic motorcycle accident that claimed both their lives.

Tragic Accident on Northern Bypass

At the time of the accident, the two were returning from the Safari Rally event in Naivasha—an outing that reflected their shared passion for biking and adventure.

Cultural Customs Shape Burial Plans

In line with Luhya cultural traditions, the couple will be buried separately. Custom dictates that a wife may only be laid to rest at her husband’s ancestral home if the dowry process has been fully completed.

The families confirmed that this requirement had not been finalised, meaning Diana will be buried by her own family, while Gustavo will be laid to rest at his parents’ home.
