A representative from the 'Bunge la Mwananchi' has publicly declared her desire to marry philanthropist and comedian Eric Omondi. The woman, who identified herself as a national Women Representative, expressed her readiness to support Omondi’s political and social efforts.
Speaking with great conviction, she stated that she wished to be Omondi's wife to help him stand firm in his service to the people. She specifically mentioned her desire to become the "First Lady" of Lang’ata, the constituency where Omondi has been heavily tipped to run for Member of Parliament.
"I want to be your wife. I want to be your wife here in Lang’ata. I want to see you standing firm so you can work for the people,” she declared in an interview.
The woman praised Omondi's recent community work, including his efforts to "sweep the town" and clean up local areas. She also noted that Omondi’s sharp mind makes him an ideal candidate for leadership.

Lynne Njihia Stakes Her Claim
The public proposal did not go unnoticed by Omondi and his former partner and baby mama, Lynne Njihia. Omondi shared a clip of the interview on his Instagram page, jokingly tagging Lynne and asking for her opinion on the matter.
“Wamama hoyeee😂😂😂 @l.y.nn.e Hapa unaonaje?” Eric asked.
Lynne's response was swift, firm, and pointed.

Dismissing the video as "AI," Lynne asserted her position in Omondi's life. She made it clear that she does not believe there is any vacancy for the role of First Lady or First Daughter.
"First Lady ni mmoja, First daughter ni mmoja pia unless I say otherwise,” she responded.
She further teased Omondi, suggesting he should find his own wife because there are many Eric Omondis in Kenya. Her comment, which garnered hundreds of likes within hours, has been interpreted by many as a clear sign of her territoriality over their family unit.
Signs of a Thaw
These comments have intensified rumours that the pair may be reconciling. Omondi and Lynne officially separated in April 2025. However, their digital footprint and public activities in recent weeks suggest a growing closeness.
Just two weeks ago, Omondi took Lynne and their daughter, Kyla, to the lakeside city of Kisumu. This was a significant milestone, as it was reportedly Kyla’s first visit to the city.
Shortly after this trip, Omondi marked International Women’s Day by sending a public message of appreciation to both Lynne and their daughter, further softening their public image as a separated couple.
The Political Backdrop
The "First Lady" title carries significant weight as Omondi continues his transition from comedy to full-time philanthropy and politics. The woman in the interview argued that a partnership between her and Omondi would be an "excellent idea" for helping the citizens of Lang'ata.

While neither party has officially confirmed a romantic reunion, Lynne’s protective stance over her title has left fans and followers convinced that the door is not yet closed on their relationship.
For now, the "First Lady" of Lang’ata remains a title Lynne Njihia is not ready to relinquish.
