The Kenya Revenue Authority has announced career opportunities for senior and middle-level professionals, inviting applications for several vacant positions across its departments.

In a public notice, KRA said it is seeking to recruit “results-oriented, self-driven, dynamic and experienced individuals with high integrity” to fill four Deputy Commissioner positions.

The authority said the recruitment is part of efforts to strengthen its leadership team.

The advertised Deputy Commissioner roles include Revenue (Investigations), Revenue – Large Taxpayer Office, Research, Corporate Planning & Reforms, and Compliance East & South of Nairobi. Each position has one vacancy.

KRA said a detailed job description is available on the PKF website. Interested candidates are required to visit https://www.pkfea.com/careers for full details and specifications. Applications must be submitted online by March 24, 2026, at 23:59hrs EAT.

The authority cautioned applicants against fraudulent practices. “It is a criminal offence to present fake certificates/documents and to include incorrect information in the application,” the notice states. It further warns that canvassing, falsifying or misrepresentation of qualifications will lead to automatic disqualification.

KRA emphasised that only shortlisted and successful applicants will be contacted.

It reiterated that it is an equal opportunity employer and does not charge any fee at any stage of the recruitment process. “KRA does not charge any application, processing, interviewing, or any other fee at any stage of the recruitment process,” the notice says. Hard copy applications will not be accepted.

Successful candidates for the Deputy Commissioner positions will be required to present several clearance documents in line with Chapter Six of the Constitution. These include valid certificates of good conduct from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations, clearance from the Higher Education Loans Board, a valid KRA tax compliance certificate, clearance from the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission, and a current report from an approved Credit Reference Bureau.

In a separate notice, KRA announced additional managerial vacancies in various departments.

Among the roles advertised are Manager – Digital Communication & Production under Shared Services, Manager – Data & Big Data Operations, Manager – Quality & Master Data Management, and Manager – Continuous Audit. The authority is also seeking a Manager – Analytics & Strategic Reporting and a Manager – Enterprise Database Administration (Re-advert).

These positions cut across departments such as Business Strategy, Transformation & Enterprise Modernisation, Internal Audit, and Shared Services. Each post has one vacancy.

KRA said detailed job descriptions for these roles are posted on its website, https://www.kra.go.ke/careers. Applications for the managerial positions must be submitted online by March 23, 2026, at 23:59hrs.

The authority repeated its warning to applicants that it is a criminal offence to present fake certificates/documents and to include incorrect information in the application.

It adds that “Only shortlisted and successful applicants will be contacted.” KRA also states that it is “committed to affording equal employment opportunities to men and women, members of all ethnic groups and persons with disabilities.”

Further vacancies were also announced for senior roles, including Chief Manager – Intelligence Analysis, Production & Exchange, Chief Manager – Investigations & Enforcement Operations, and Chief Manager – Education, Policy and Compliance. Other openings include Chief Manager – Strategy & Planning, Chief Manager – Project Management, Chief Manager – Data Engineering (Re-advert), and Chief Manager, Regional Audit Centre (Re-advert).

These roles span departments such as Investigations & Enforcement, Supply Chain Management, Business Strategy, Technology and Enterprise Modernisation, and Micro & Small Taxpayers.

Applicants for all the advertised positions are required to register on the KRA e-recruitment portal at https://erecruitment.kra.go.ke/login. The authority directs candidates to click on the “Register” button to start the application process and complete registration via email verification.

Once registered, candidates must log in and access the “Applicant Cockpit.” Under the “Candidate Profile” tab, applicants are instructed to create and update their profiles and attach documents in PDF format.

The notice advises applicants to check the “Overview and Release” section and tick the box on the page to complete their profile before proceeding to apply.

For each vacancy, candidates are required to click on the “Employment Opportunities” tab, select the desired job, and click the “Apply” button at the top of the page. After completing the application, they must click the “Send Application Now” button and accept the “Data Privacy Statement.”

KRA said any queries regarding the recruitment process can be sent via email to [email protected] or [email protected] depending on the role applied for.

Through the notices, the authority has signalled a wide-ranging recruitment drive aimed at strengthening its operational, compliance, investigative and strategic functions.
