Christians have been urged not to allow past failures to derail their life goals, but to move forward with renewed faith and trust in God’s ability to strengthen and guide them toward success.
Bishop of the ACK Diocese of Nyahururu, Samson Gachathi, challenged believers across the country to expand their mental capacity and avoid limiting what God can accomplish in their lives.
Delivering a sermon based on Isaiah 54:1-2 at ACK Christ the King Cathedral in Nyahururu during a pastoral visit, Gachathi emphasised that mental transformation is key to unlocking divine possibilities.
He said Christians must cultivate open minds in order to perceive and receive the blessings and opportunities that God places before them.
“A closed mind cannot receive much from God and hence there is need for mental transformation to enable one to see what is humanly impossible but is possible with God,” the bishop noted.
Gachathi explained that a transformed mindset enables believers to prepare themselves adequately, positioning them for God to perform greater works through them.
“What God desires to do in our lives is greater than what we can imagine. We need only to open our minds to new possibilities through God by diversifying what we are doing and thinking of new ways to enhance our living standards,” he added.
The cleric observed that while many people are lamenting about the country’s economic challenges, others are thriving within the same environment. He attributed the difference to mindset and urged Christians to adopt a positive outlook anchored in faith and resilience.
He further encouraged believers to involve God in their personal and professional plans, noting that strategies and ambitions conceived without divine guidance remain limited to human effort.
According to Gachathi, when God is included in one’s plans, He provides not only resources but also wisdom and supernatural strength to accomplish set goals.
