The Affordable Housing Board (AHB) and the Sacco Societies Regulatory Authority (SASRA) are inviting qualified and experienced professionals to apply for top leadership roles that are open.

In separate notices published in MyGov dated February 24, 2026, the AHB and SASRA announced vacancies for the position of Chief Executive Officer (CEO), with efforts to strengthen institutional leadership in critical sectors of the economy.

The Affordable Housing Board, a body corporate established under the Affordable Housing Act of 2024 within the State Department for Housing and Urban Development, is seeking to recruit a qualified, highly experienced and results-oriented individual to fill the position of Chief Executive Officer (CEO) – AHB Grade 1.

According to the advert, the CEO will be responsible for the management and administration of the Board and will be accountable to the Board of Directors.

“The job holder will serve as the accounting officer of the Board, provide leadership to staff, prepare annual work plans, oversee the operation of the Board’s accounts with approval from the National Treasury, and ensure prudent management of funds,” the advert read in part.

The successful candidate will also spearhead the formulation and implementation of policies, coordinate monitoring and evaluation of affordable housing projects financed by the Fund, and ensure that resources are utilised strictly for their intended purpose in compliance with the Public Audit Act, 2015.

To qualify, applicants must hold a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in Built Environment, Business Administration, Finance/Commerce, Law, or a related field from a recognised institution.

“Candidates must have a cumulative 15 years of work experience, with at least 10 years in a managerial capacity within the built environment,” the agency stated.

The Board is seeking a candidate with strong leadership and team-building skills, strategic thinking ability, sound decision-making and problem-solving capabilities, and high ethical standards.

The position is offered on a three-year contract, renewable once, subject to satisfactory performance.

Interested candidates are required to submit a cover letter, a copy of the National ID, academic and professional certificates, testimonials, and a detailed CV indicating current position, qualifications, experience, names of three professional referees, current remuneration, and daytime telephone contact.

Applications must quote the job reference “Chief Executive Officer- AHB Grade 1” and be sent via email only to [email protected]. The subject of the email should read “Chief Executive Officer.”

The advert warns that no physical applications will be accepted and that it is an offence to provide incorrect or misleading information, as stipulated under the Public Officers Ethics Act, 2003.

The deadline for submission is March 10 2026, at 5 pm, and only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.

Meanwhile, the Sacco Societies Regulatory Authority has also declared a vacancy for the position of Chief Executive Officer (CEO) under reference SASRA/HRA/1000/09/VOL. I (153).

In its notice, the agency stated that it is seeking an open-minded, self-driven, transformative and results-oriented individual of high integrity to head the institution.

“The CEO will be responsible to the Board of Directors for providing strategic direction, implementing Board policies, mobilising and managing resources, and ensuring the Authority achieves its mandate,” the agency noted.

SASRA noted that the successful candidate will be employed on a four-year contract, renewable once, subject to satisfactory performance.

Applicants must have at least 10 years’ experience in financial management, co-operative practice and management, law, finance or economics, and must have served in senior management for a minimum of five years. Membership in a recognised professional body is required where applicable.

Candidates must also meet the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya, 2010, including providing a Certificate of Good Conduct, a tax compliance certificate, clearance from the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission, clearance from the Higher Education Loans Board, and a credit reference bureau report.
