Kenya’s Olympic alpine skier Sabrina Wanjiku Simader/HANDOUT

Kenya’s only Olympic alpine skier Sabrina Wanjiku Simader has signed a global partnership deal with smartphone brand Infinix.

The latest endorsement adds a high-profile endorsement to her post-competition career as international attention shifts to the 2026 Winter Olympics in Italy.

The Nairobi-born skier, who made history as Kenya’s first female Winter Olympian at the PyeongChang 2018 Winter Olympics, will work with the Chinese-founded handset brand on marketing campaigns across Africa and Europe.

“I’m returning to the Olympics not as a racer, but as someone who has lived the journey. It’s about showing that dreams don’t end, they evolve. And that ambition belongs to everyone, no matter where you come from,” said Simader on her role.

The endorsement comes when the phone company is preparing to launch its NOTE 60 Pro smartphone in Kenya and other markets.

Simader is attending the Milano-Cortina Winter Olympics Games.
