Gachagua has consistently projected himself as a family-oriented leader, often using public occasions and social media to celebrate his wife and children.

Over the years, the former Deputy President has repeatedly paid glowing tribute to his wife, Pastor Dorcas Rigathi, praising her faith and commitment to family and community work.

During her ordination as a Reverend in Nyeri, he delivered an emotional tribute, describing her as the pillar of their home and crediting her ministry for transforming lives across the country.

He has previously spoken about supporting her work financially, revealing that he and their sons set aside part of their family earnings to fund her ministry initiatives.

He has also lauded her advocacy for vulnerable groups, including widows, orphans, people living with disabilities and the boy child, an initiative that earned her the nickname “Mama Boys”.

Beyond celebrating his wife, Gachagua frequently marks his children’s milestones publicly, from academic achievements to birthdays.
