American streaming sensation IShowSpeed rekindled his connection with Kenyan content creator Bradley Marongo, popularly known as Gen Z Goliath, during a livestream this week — about a month after their now-viral meeting in Nairobi.

The Significance of the Reunion Call

The livestream call between IShowSpeed and Gen Z Goliath occurred after IShowSpeed completed his nearly month-long tour across Africa, which included stops in more than 20 countries.

During that tour, he tweeted that Kenya was one of the most impactful stops, pointing to the large crowds and robust fan engagement he experienced there.

In addition to the call with Marongo, the Speed Does Africa tour featured a number of high-profile encounters, including IShowSpeed’s record-breaking surge in YouTube subscribers — his channel rose past 48 million in part due to his time in Kenya.

By reconnecting on stream with Gen Z Goliath, IShowSpeed publicly acknowledged the connection he formed during the Nairobi visit and suggested that his experiences in the country left a lasting impression.
