Israel ranks first globally in defense spending per capita, investing nearly $5,000 per citizen.
This is followed by the United States at $2,895 and Singapore at $2,591 per person.
Other high per capita spenders include Saudi Arabia ($2,386), Norway ($1,880), and Ukraine ($1,728), largely driven by regional security challenges and strategic defense commitments.
In terms of economic burden, North Korea leads with 34% of its GDP dedicated to military costs, followed by Ukraine at 17%.
