In a recent post, he noted that his children were preparing for school while he handled work calls. His message remained firm: "BEST YEAR YET loading."

“This is going to be my best year yet. I am seeing my kids preparing for school, I have to make a few work calls today... We begin the new season,” he wrote.

Honouring a Legacy of Positivity

DJ Krowbar's insistence on a positive year is not a dismissal of his grief. Instead, it is a tribute to his late wife’s own words.

During her illness, Joyce reportedly told her husband that 2026 would be their best year yet. She encouraged him to persevere in his education and his career, believing his work as a teacher would change lives.

At a moving memorial service held on 4 February 2026 at Nairobi Chapel, Krowbar spoke of his wife’s unwavering support. He confessed to spending nights watching old videos of their time together, including a poignant clip from an anniversary trip to Cape Town.

"I’m going to miss this girl. Yesterday, I didn’t sleep… I was just going through all the photos and all the videos."
