Popular Kenyan content creator Kevin Masagara is set to trade his screen for the stands of Old Trafford. The TikTok star, who recently hit a major milestone of one million followers, has received a life-changing offer from Lang’ata Member of Parliament, Phelix Odiwuor.
The MP, better known as Jalang’o, announced via his Instagram account that he will personally facilitate Masagara’s first-ever trip to witness Manchester United play live in England.
The gesture comes as a reward for Masagara’s consistent passion for the football club, which has made him a household name among Kenyan sports fans.
A Milestone Celebration
Kevin Masagara is widely regarded as Kenya’s most prominent Manchester United supporter. For years, he has entertained his audience with high-energy reactions and football commentary, often dressed in the team's iconic red kit.
His dedication recently culminated in him reaching the one-million-follower mark on TikTok.

Recognising this achievement, Jalang’o noted that despite Masagara's fame as a "superfan," he had never actually stepped foot in the Theatre of Dreams or watched his team play in person.
"Kevin Masagara has never been to Old Trafford. He's never watched Manchester United play live. Now this time we want to take Kevin Masagara to Manchester United." — Phelix Odiwuor.
The Road to Manchester
The MP’s plan involves more than just a match ticket. In his video announcement, Jalang’o explained that he would be guiding the content creator through the entire logistical process.
This includes handling passport applications and the visa process, as the two had not yet met in person at the time of the announcement.
A dedicated digital platform titled "Masagara to Manchester" has been established to allow fans to follow the journey.

The trip is expected to be a comprehensive experience for the TikToker.
Jalang’o stated that the itinerary would include a visit to the Manchester United museum and a tour of various landmarks within the city.
Heartfelt Gratitude
The news was met with immediate excitement from Masagara. He reposted the MP’s video on his own social media channels to share the moment with his followers.
Accompanying the video was a simple but emotional message of thanks. Masagara referred to the MP as "Mhesh," a common Kenyan shorthand for "Mheshimiwa," showing his appreciation for the support.

A Transition from Digital to Physical
Kevin Masagara’s rise to fame is rooted in his "street-style" reporting and passionate outbursts during Manchester United’s matches. His content often goes viral across East Africa, bridging the gap between digital entertainment and football fandom.
Phelix Odiwuor, the benefactor of this trip, is a former radio presenter and comedian who transitioned into politics. Since being elected as the MP for Lang’ata, he has frequently engaged with the creative economy and supported young Kenyans in the digital space.
