The world's best universities for Engineering

The 2026 Times Higher Education rankings place leading universities from the United States, the United Kingdom, China and Singapore at the top of global engineering education.

Harvard University leads the list with an overall score of 97.1, followed by the University of Oxford and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Stanford University and the University of Cambridge complete the top five.

Other institutions in the top 10 include the University of California, Berkeley, the California Institute of Technology, Peking University, Princeton University and the National University of Singapore.

The rankings assessed universities based on teaching, research environment, research quality, industry engagement and international outlook.
