The popular Gengetone and Mugithi artist, Peter Miracle Baby, is turning his attention back to his music career.

This shift follows a series of social media posts suggesting that his long-term relationship with fellow musician Carol Katrue has come to an end.

The couple has been a fixture in the Kenyan entertainment scene for years. They have frequently performed together and shared much of their private life online.

However, recent activity on their official pages indicates they are now walking separate paths.

Miracle Baby shared a candid message with his followers on February 3. He posted a simple graphic stating that "starting again from zero is healthy."

The post suggested a fresh start in his personal life after what has been a difficult period.

Shortly after this, Carol Katrue appeared to confirm the breakup. She shared a post on social media mentioning her new status. "Me thinking how am going to use my tongue ring since I'm single," she wrote, accompanied by several laughing emojis.

The Microphone as a Best Friend

Instead of dwelling on the split, Peter Miracle Baby is channelling his energy into the recording studio.

He shared an image of himself seated behind the microphone, declaring it his primary focus moving forward. He noted that the microphone would now be the "only friend" he shares his moments with.

"Dear mic, I know you love me, and I love you too. Let's do this," he posted.

This move marks a significant pivot for the artist, who has spent much of the last year dealing with personal and health challenges.

A History of Highs and Lows

The relationship between Peter and Carol has often been described as on-and-off by observers in the local media. The pair share a young son born in 2023. Carol Katrue was also notably by Peter’s side throughout 2024 as he battled severe health issues.

Peter underwent several surgeries for intestinal complications in early 2024. During that time, Carol acted as his spokesperson, giving updates on his recovery and helping to coordinate medical fund drives.

Despite this strong public front, the relationship has faced frequent rumours of instability.

A Career in Transition

Peter Miracle Baby first rose to national fame as a member of the Gengetone group, Sailors. The group was instrumental in the 2019 "Wamlambez" craze, a song that garnered over 10 million views on YouTube.
