Tourism Fund levy collected in Keny [Sh bn]/WILLIAM WANYOIKE



Kenya’s tourism fund levy collections rose by 4.1 per cent to Sh5.1 billion in the 2024/25 financial year.

This is according to data from the State Department for Tourism.

The collections have shown steady growth over the past five years, increasing from Sh1.5 billion in the 2020/21 financial year to Sh2.81 billion in 2021/22.

Revenues further rose to Sh3.9 billion in 2022/23 before climbing to Sh4.9 billion in 2023/24.

The latest figures indicate continued growth in tourism-related revenues, reflecting improved performance in the sector and increased levy collections during the period under review.
