In a candid revelation that has captivated the public, gospel singer and outspoken preacher Justina Syokau has shared a painful chapter of her personal life, discussing the brief and troubled marriage she endured with a brother of veteran Kenyan politician Kalonzo Musyoka.

The singer has consistently stated that the marriage, which began in 2012, ended barely a year later due to alleged domestic abuse, infidelity, and emotional distress.

According to Syokau, she was married to her ex whom she claimed as Kalonzo Musyoka’s brother. The union, she says, was entered with high hopes, but soon became troubled.

By 2013, the marriage had officially collapsed, marking the end of a turbulent relationship that Syokau has described as traumatic.

In several interviews and public forums, Syokau has alleged that her former husband was abusive, creating an unsafe environment that ultimately forced her to walk away.

She has further claimed that infidelity played a major role in the breakdown of the marriage, alleging that her ex-husband engaged in extramarital affairs, including relationships with their househelp and a tailor.

These allegations, while deeply personal, have been shared by Syokau as part of her healing process and advocacy against abuse.

Despite the painful separation, the marriage resulted in the birth of one child, whom Syokau has confirmed was fathered by her former husband.

She has been open about the challenges of raising her son as a single mother, often highlighting struggles related to child support and co-parenting.

At times, she has claimed that she was forced to seek legal intervention to ensure her child’s needs were met.

Over the years, Syokau has used her platform as a gospel singer, preacher, and media personality to speak candidly about broken marriages, toxic relationships, and the importance of self-worth, especially for women.

She has emphasized that her decision to speak out is not driven by bitterness, but by a desire to encourage women to leave abusive relationships and prioritize their safety and dignity.

While her revelations have sparked public debate and mixed reactions, Syokau maintains that sharing her story is part of her spiritual journey and personal healing.

Today, she says she is focused on raising her son, rebuilding her life, and using her experiences to inspire others facing similar struggles behind closed doors.
