The Murang’a County Government has announced a wheat flour distribution initiative for ECDE parents and the provision of chapati meals in hospitals as part of its ongoing Digital Distribution pilot system.

The initiative targets parents of children enrolled in public ECDE centres and inpatients in selected hospitals within Murang’a County.

Under this program, parents of children attending public ECDE centres will receive one packet of wheat flour. The distribution is scheduled to take place on Wednesday, January 14th, 2026, at 3:00 PM.

The beneficiaries of the wheat flour distribution are parents of ECDE children in county-run ECDEs. Collection will be carried out at all County Government-run ECDE facilities in Murang’a County.

Parents are advised to collect the wheat flour at the specified time and date from their respective ECDE centres.

In addition to the wheat flour distribution, the Murang’a County Government has also announced a chapati meal program for hospitals within Murang’a County.

All inpatients in Level 4 and Level 5 hospitals in Murang’a County will receive chapati as part of their diet.

This provision will run for the next five months, during which chapati will be served twice a week to the inpatients.
