
The United States remained Kenya’s top source market for visitor arrivals in 2024, according to data from the Tourism Research Institute.
The US recorded 306,501 visitors, accounting for 12.8 per cent of total arrivals.
Regional markets followed, with Uganda contributing 225,559 visitors and Tanzania 203,290.
The United Kingdom ranked fourth with 180,639 arrivals, while India recorded 131,570.
Other key source markets included Italy (91,842), China (90,462), Germany (87,556), Somalia (81,555) and Rwanda (65,866).
The figures highlight the continued importance of both long-haul and regional markets to Kenya’s tourism sector.
