Police are investigating the discovery of a decomposed body of a woman in a house in Pipeline, Nairobi.
According to police, residents in the estate reported a strong odor coming from the house and sought to identify its source.
When they found the house locked, they requested police assistance.

The owner of the house, a man known to authorities, was not at the scene.

Authorities believe the body may have been at the location for up to two days before it was discovered on January 2.
It has since been taken to the mortuary pending an autopsy. Police are seeking a person of interest in connection with the case, while the motive remains unknown.
In a separate incident in Githunguri, Kiambu County, a man who allegedly killed a child died in hospital from self-inflicted injuries.
