About 26 per cent reported cutting back on non-essential expenses, while 22 per cent said they are borrowing money from friends or family.
Taking out loans or using credit cards was cited by 15 per cent, the same proportion relying on community resources such as food banks and shelters.
Meanwhile, 11 per cent said they depend on rationing.
