Kenyatta National Hospital (KNH) has announced a recruitment drive for several vacant positions, calling for qualified, experienced and highly motivated individuals to apply.

In a notice published on Tuesday, the hospital said it is seeking “dynamic, highly motivated, innovative and experienced individuals” to fill the positions as part of its mission to strengthen specialised healthcare delivery.

The positions on advertisement include those of the Chief Medical Specialist (Pediatric), Chief Medical Specialist (Obstetrics & Gynecology), Chief Medical Specialist (Pathology), Medical Specialist (Orthopedic Surgery - Hand) and Medical Specialist (Gastroenterology/ Hepatologist).

Other vacancies are at the offices of Medical Specialist (Plastic Surgery), Medical Specialist (Radiology), Medical Specialist (Cardiothoracic Surgery), Assistant Cardiac Technologist, Senior Principal Clinical Psychologist, Senior Principal Nutrition & Dietetics Officer and Senior Principal Health Information Officer (3).

KNH is also looking to hire a Senior Principal Nursing Officer, Assistant Clerk of Works, Therapy Radiographer KNH, Occupational Therapist (5) and Chief Manager, Monitoring & Evaluation.

Applicants are required to download and complete an official application form from the hospital’s website.

“All those Interested in the above positions and meet the minimum requirements are requested to download and fill the application form available at KNH Website www.knh.or.ke,” the hospital said.

The form must be submitted alongside a detailed and updated curriculum vitae, copies of academic and professional certificates, and testimonials.

KNH emphasised that all documents must be serialised before submission on December 22, 2025.

Completed applications may be sent by post to the Chief Executive Officer, Kenyatta National Hospital, PO Box 20723-00202, Nairobi, or delivered physically to the hospital’s Central Registry at the Administration Block.

The hospital clarified that it does not charge any application fees.

“Kenyatta National Hospital does not charge any fees for application,” it said, warning applicants to be wary of fraudsters.

The notice also stated that only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.

Successful candidates will be required to provide several statutory documents in line with Chapter Six of the Constitution, which outlines integrity requirements for public officers.

These include a certificate of good conduct from the National Police Service, clearance from the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC), proof of compliance from the Higher Education Loans Board (HELB), Credit Reference Bureau (CRB) clearance and a valid Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) tax compliance certificate.

KNH stressed that canvassing at any stage of the recruitment process will result in automatic disqualification.

The institution also reiterated its commitment to inclusivity and equal opportunity.

To prevent misinformation, KNH informed the public that communication with shortlisted applicants will be made exclusively through telephone number 0780433080.

“Members of the public are informed that Kenyatta National Hospital, Human Resource Division will contact the shortlisted applicants and candidates through Telephone number 0780433080 only,” the hospital said.

The recruitment process is expected to support the hospital’s ongoing efforts to improve service delivery as it positions itself within the country’s specialised and referral healthcare framework.
