Ulinzi Starlets forward Siliya Rasoha is emerging as one of the players to watch in the 2026/27 Football Kenya Federation (FKF) Women’s Premier League after scoring four goals in the team’s opening three matches to boost her early Golden Boot ambitions.
Rasoha scored in Ulinzi’s 2-0 opening win over Gideon Starlets, found the net again in their 6-1 victory over Kibera Soccer Women and grabbed a brace in the 5-0 demolition of Kayole Starlets.
The forward, however, has her sights set on a bigger prize: helping Ulinzi end their wait for the league title.
“My dream is to lead the team to the title, which has eluded us by a whisker in recent years,” she said.
Ulinzi have made a perfect start to the campaign, winning all four of their opening matches to collect 12 points and move level with defending champions Kenya Police Bullets at the top of the standings.
Besides their victories over Gideon Starlets, Kibera Soccer Women and Kayole Starlets, the soldiers also edged former champions Vihiga Queens 2-1.
Rasoha believes the strong start could prove crucial as Ulinzi seek to improve on last season’s runners-up finish in the league and defend their FKF Women’s Cup title.
After the emphatic victory over Kayole, head coach Collins Ochieng’ praised his players for their performance and urged them to maintain their momentum.
“I want to congratulate my players for the win, which has increased our morale to win the title this season. That is our aim, and I believe we can achieve the dream if we maintain our winning streak,” he said.
While Rasoha has been central to Ulinzi’s attacking output, she is not the only forward making an impact. Mercy Airo has also emerged as a threat after scoring a hat-trick against Kayole, having come off the bench in the second half.
Airo’s performance underlines the depth of Ulinzi’s attacking options, with several players contributing to the team’s impressive scoring record.
For Rasoha, maintaining her form while helping the team sustain its winning run will be key as the season progresses.
“Sustaining my form while helping the side maintain its winning run will be important as the season progresses,” she said.
The Golden Boot race is also shaping up to feature players from Kenya Police Bullets, who opened their title defence with a commanding 6-0 victory over Bungoma Queens. Faith Mboya and Lorna Nyarinda each scored twice in the match, underlining the champions’ attacking strength.
Last season, Kenya Police’s Margaret Kunihira finished as the league’s leading scorer with 14 goals, followed by Martha Amunyolete of Vihiga Queens with 13. Ulinzi’s Elizabeth Mideva Lwangu scored 10, according to the available league statistics.
Rasoha will have another opportunity to add to her tally on Friday when Ulinzi face Elim White Ladies at Vapor Ground, Ngong’.
