The African country with the largest GDP is South Africa, with an estimated nominal GDP of about US $410.34 billion.

Egypt follows, with a GDP of roughly US $347.34 billion.

Third is Algeria, with nearly US $268.89 billion in GDP.

Nigeria also ranks among the top economies, with a GDP of about US $188.27 billion.

Beyond those, countries such as Morocco (US $165.84 billion) and Kenya (US $131.67 billion) also appear among Africa’s leading economies by nominal GDP.
