Dillah Acelle, the rising star redefining African fashion, has been officially crowned Africa’s Next Super Model 2025. The breathtaking Chadian model clinched the title during a spectacular grand finale held on Saturday, November 22, at Nairobi’s Broadwalk Mall.
Acelle dazzled both judges and spectators, ultimately taking home a $5,000 cheque presented by Mr. Chris Oputa of Studio 24, long-time supporters of Africa’s Next Super Model.
Her victory also comes with exclusive global exposure and the opportunity to collaborate with top-tier luxury fashion houses.
Emergingas the standout among 16 exceptional contestants drawn from across the continent, Acelle impressed with her elegance, poise, and powerful runway presence. She now follows in the footsteps of Chol Nyang, the 2024 winner.

The event began on a solemn and patriotic note with the Kenyan National Anthem, followed by a moving moment of silence in honour of Air Vice-Marshall Terry Okorodudu, the late husband of Joan Okorodudu, founder of Isis Models and the visionary behind Africa’s Next Super Model.
Joan, unable to attend due to her bereavement, shared a heartfelt tribute to her late husband through a video that left the audience visibly emotional.
Stepping in for Joan, renowned media personality Nailantei Kenga returned as the evening’s host, joined by BBC senior reporter Ata Ahli as co-host.

The finale drew influential figures from across the creative sector. Among them was Mr. Collins Okoth of the Kenya Film Commission, who praised the competition’s contribution to the creative industry, alongside Mumias East MP Peter Salasya.
“We believe in fostering an environment where creatives in Kenya and across Africa can turn their talents into careers, their passions into livelihoods, and their dreams into global successes,” said Mr. Okoth.
Also in attendance was Mr. Cornell McBride, President of Design Essentials, marking his second year supporting the event through his partnership with Isis Models—further proof of his commitment to empowering African talent.

Adding a patriotic aesthetic to the evening, Daima Mkenya Africa, founded by Mrs. Zahra Balewah Moi, showcased their signature fabric inspired by the Kenyan flag.
The judging panel made it clear that Acelle was a standout from early on, citing her unmatched confidence, poise, and rapid growth throughout the competition.
“Her confidence was unparalleled,” said Matteo Puglisi, CEO of Select Models Management, who served on the judging panel.
“She showed professionalism in every challenge and grew significantly throughout the competition. It was clear she was destined for greatness.”

Following her win, the 22-year-old Acelle expressed joy and reflected on the broader impact of her achievement.
“I’m so excited to have won this competition. This is not just a win for me, but for every young girl who aspires to break into the fashion world. I hope my journey inspires them and shows that anything is possible with hard work, confidence, and perseverance. This win is for every dreamer, every girl who dares to aim high.”
Kenya’s own Lilian Amoni also made a strong showing, securing a coveted place in the top six and representing the country with pride.
