Former Machakos County First Lady Lillian Ng'ang'a has revealed she is actively looking for employment, preferably in a remote or hybrid capacity, as her son Utheri with rapper Juliani prepares to start school next year.

In a series of Instagram Stories posted on November 22, 2025, the 39-year-old project manager and fitness enthusiast explained that raising Utheri over the past few years has been her main focus.

With him beginning formal education in 2026, she now has capacity to return to structured professional work.

“I have been hesitant to say this out loud,” Lillian wrote, acknowledging her internal debate before going public. She expressed concern that the announcement could be misconstrued, particularly given her past high-profile status.

“Some will quickly connect it to my previous life as First Lady or assume I’m broke,” she said, preempting possible headlines such as “From First Lady to Struggling” or “Lillian Ng'ang'a Begging for Jobs.”

She also holds a 45% stake in the upscale A&L Hotel in Machakos, where she serves as operations manager, and founded the Lillian Ng’ang’a Foundation in 2017.
