Nairobi is about to host one of the most exciting events, the grand finale of Africa's Next Super Model. The stage is set, the 16 finalists are ready, and the competition is fierce.

These contestants, representing Kenya, Chad, Congo, South Sudan, Ethiopia, Nigeria, and more, are all competing for the ultimate crown.

The unveiling of the 16 finalists took place on Friday, November 21, at Nairobi's Broadwalk Mall, and the main event will be held on Saturday, November 22.

The finalists were carefully chosen from a pool of 34 talented contestants who auditioned from across the continent. The lucky winner will not only walk away with $500 but also gain exposure to luxury global fashion brands.

"The stakes were higher this year with 34 contestants. We scouted all over Africa. They were all talented, but a few key qualities set the final 16 apart. It’s about attitude, character, and, of course, having the right look."

As for the reasons why many of the finalists are slim, Matteo explained, “Fashion designs are made to fit certain body types. The smallest designs need to fit, so slim models tend to have the advantage.”

One of the most exciting moments of the unveiling came from Magdalene Takangiro, a Turkana-born individual. Magdalene, who recently made her debut at Paris Fashion Week after finishing in the top five in Africa's Next Super Model 2024, spoke with great confidence about her journey.

“I’m so excited for tomorrow. I’ll be back on the runway, ready to prove myself. I’m hoping for the best!” she said.
