TVS Motor’s International Business President Peyman Kargar with other officials during the opening of the showroom/COURTESYTVS Motor Company has expanded its physical presence in Kenya with the opening of a new state-of-the-art showroom in Nairobi.
Located along Lusaka Road, its opening marks yet another major step in the company's aggressive East African growth strategy.
The unveiling comes just a day after the launch of a premium performance motorcycle, the Apache RTR 180, in a high-profile event held Monday.
The new facility, established in partnership with long-standing distributor Car & General, is designed as both a sales and experiential centre, giving customers a closer look at the full range of TVS two-wheelers, machines known globally for reliability, engineering excellence and durability.
The company says the Nairobi showroom will serve as an important touchpoint for Kenya’s growing community of riders, fleet operators and motorcycle enthusiasts.
According to TVS, the Lusaka road showroom is part of a wider plan to reinforce its brand presence in markets where motorcycle mobility is rapidly expanding.
It will showcase TVS Motor’s full portfolio of products, including commuter motorcycles, premium models and performance machines led by the newly introduced Apache RTR 180.
The Apache RTR 180, which debuted this week, represents the newest addition to TVS Motor’s racing-inspired lineup, blending power, precision and performance drawn from 43 years of the company’s celebrated racing heritage.
The 177.4 cc motorcycle has already attracted attention among Kenya’s youth and performance-riding community, positioning the brand to compete more aggressively in the country’s premium motorcycle segment.
Speaking during the Apache launch, TVS Motor’s International Business President Peyman Kargar, described Kenya as a central pillar in the company’s African strategy.
“Kenya is at the heart of our continental ambitions,” he said.
"Its role as a regional commercial hub, its influence on East Africa’s motorcycle culture, and its growing community of discerning riders make it an ideal market for our premium products. Through our partnership with Car & General, we are committed to expanding across Africa.”
Kargar affirmed that the Nairobi showroom reflects TVS’s confidence in Kenya’s rapidly evolving mobility landscape and the rising demand for high-quality, performance-driven motorcycles.
Car & General, which has been distributing TVS products in East Africa for decades, said the new showroom will offer a modern, immersive retail experience while supporting stronger customer engagement, after-sales service and brand growth.
The space is expected to serve individual buyers, bodaboda operators and institutions alike.
TVS Motor Company itself continues to cement its position as one of the world’s top two- and three-wheeler manufacturers, with products sold in more than 90 countries across Asia, Africa and Latin America.
