The celebration promises a night of rhythm, creativity, and inspiration — with Kenyan creators taking centre stage among this year’s nominees.
From viral dances to powerful storytelling and educational content, African TikTokers have spent 2025 redefining what it means to create and connect.
This year, Kenya’s presence is especially strong, reflecting the country’s growing influence across digital culture in the region.
Kenya’s digital creators are making waves across multiple categories at the 2025 TikTok Awards Sub-Saharan Africa.
Leading the pack is @englishwithclem (Nairobi), a double nominee for Creator of the Year and Education Creator of the Year, celebrated for transforming English lessons into engaging, relatable content that has made learning fun for audiences across East Africa.
Joining him in the education category is @roy.kanyi (Nairobi), who sparks curiosity with clever, informative videos that simplify complex topics.

In the Food Creator of the Year category, @boyz_makekii (Nairobi) stand out for their entertaining take on Kenyan street food, blending humour and mouth-watering visuals.
For Social Impact Creator of the Year, @valerie_keter (Nairobi) and @anitasoina (Nairobi) are both using their platforms for good—Valerie through her advocacy for gender equality and community growth, and Anita by driving vital conversations around sustainability and environmental action.

On the sports front, @boxtoboxregista (Nairobi) and @zozasportscast (Nairobi) are making their mark with witty, insightful commentary that showcases both passion and Kenyan pride.
Meanwhile, in the Rising Star of the Year category, @tunero_animations (Nairobi) is turning heads with his creative animations that celebrate originality and local storytelling.
Across the continent, creators like @chefabbys (Ghana), @beloveolocha (Nigeria), and @shandorlarenty (South Africa) are also in the running for major categories.
But this year feels especially pivotal for Kenya, whose creators have been driving authentic African stories to global audiences.
“At its core, the TikTok Awards celebrate the vibrant community who continue to inspire creativity, build community, and spread joy on the platform while turning their passions into prosperous careers,” says Boniswa Sidwaba, TikTok’s Head of Content Operations for Sub-Saharan Africa.
