STUDENTS OF A local university are up in arms over what they term as exploitation by a lecturer in a department. The don is accused of allegedly turning his lectures into a money-making scheme. He is said to be supposedly denying the students notes and instead directing them to his cybercafé, where materials cost Sh300. To make matters worse, the man tends to bring his business partner to class to market the service. The frustrated students, many struggling to make ends meet, are now pleading with the administration to step in and restore sanity.

A POWERFUL GOVERNMENT functionary is said to be fuming over a governor he is accusing of sidestepping him on key matters. Corridors of Power is told the county boss prefers to channel his concerns directly to a top figure higher up the food chain, leaving the functionary to learn of it later from his bosses.
