American rapper and music moguSean “Diddy” Combs has reportedly survived a near-fatal attack while serving time at the Metropolitan Detention Center (MDC) in Brooklyn, New York.

According to Charlucci Finney, a long-time friend of the 55-year-old producer, Combs was attacked in his sleep by a fellow inmate in what he described as a terrifying and deliberate confrontation. Finney made the claims in an interview with the Daily Mail, saying the incident left the hip-hop star shaken but alive.

He woke up with a knife to his throat,” Finney alleged. “I don’t know whether he fought him off or the guards came  I just know that it happened.”

The friend further suggested that the attack might have been intended as a warning rather than a murder attempt.

“If this guy had wanted to harm him, Sean would have been harmed. It would only take a second to cut his throat with a weapon and kill him,” Finney said.

Law enforcement experts have cautioned that while the claims are alarming, they remain unverified until prison records or official statements are released.

High-profile inmates, such as Combs, often attract rumors and speculation due to their fame and the secrecy surrounding federal detention facilities.

TheMetropolitan Detention Center has faced repeated criticism over the years for overcrowding, poor supervision, and violence among inmates.

In recent years, the facility has been the subject of congressional inquiries and lawsuits following reports of inadequate medical care, staff shortages, and unsafe living conditions.
