Security officers struggled to contain the massive turnout as supporters, many dressed in orange among different colours, blew vuvuzelas chanting slogans that have long been associated with Odinga’s political journey.
Inside the tented area, dignitaries, family members, and clergy awaited the arrival of the casket. The mood was solemn yet celebratory, with speeches expected to highlight Raila’s legacy as a reformist, freedom fighter, and unifying figure.

Outside, the atmosphere remained charged with emotion as residents from Bondo and beyond camped since dawn to witness the historic farewell of a man many call “the father of modern Kenya.”
