WE RECENTLY TOLD you about a senior politico whose advisers were at pains to explain his poor messaging and absence amid the current major political developments. The man came back in circulation but he is seemingly still not happy with his team because even his return to the country got no traction at all. His backers complain why he was not even dispatched to view the remains of former PM Raila Odinga in Parliament to get the crucial photo ops that could properly position him in relevant conversations. His confidants are now plotting to force him to repackage himself, including cutting the dead weight.

*** A SENIOR OFFICIAL in a crucial ministry has caught the attention of bureaucrats under his charge by his slew of changes of top officials, allegedly replacing them with those speaking his language. The man, who prefers to speak in his mother tongue even in formal meetings, is now reportedly either pushing old officials to retire or transfer them to other stations and have their places taken by his tribesmen. Concerned people now want the relevant authorities to stop the man in his tracks to end the trend of harassing officials with the sole aim of favoring his kinsfolk.

*** A CABINET SECRETARY has reportedly decided which party ticket he will use to contest an elective seat in the 2027 elections. According to sources close to him, the CS supposedly believes that running on the ticket of an affiliate party of the ruling coalition in his home region would almost certainly lead to defeat. Insiders reveal that he is simply biding his time and plans to resign from his government position next year to begin his campaign in earnest.

*** SENIOR OFFICIALS OF a key ministry are not happy about an important foreign installation in the country after its leadership appeared to ignore altogether the national mourning in the country. The diplomatic outpost released a few lines of condolences a some days after the passing on of the Raila Odinga, and it allegedly did not appear heartfelt. Compared to its contemporary missions that were fuller throttled in their solidarity, the well-known country appeared aloof, disinterested and the message a mere afterthought. There are reportedly not even signs of solidarity in their social media platforms.
