Recognizing this, a new opportunity has emerged for students in Kenya and Ethiopia who are eager to shape their futures.
Bybit, the world’s second-largest cryptocurrency exchange by trading volume, has launched the Bybit Scholarship Program—offering up to USD 4,000 in support for university and college learners across the two countries.
The initiative, which runs from September 17 to October 17, 2025, forms part of Bybit’s broader corporate social responsibility (CSR) efforts.
At its core, the program is designed to empower students by easing financial burdens and opening pathways toward academic and professional success.
Bybit emphasizes that education remains a cornerstone of innovation, social progress, and economic growth, especially as Africa embraces the opportunities of the digital economy.
How Students Can Apply
Unlike traditional scholarship applications, Bybit is inviting students to showcase their creativity and ambitions through short videos.
Interested applicants are required to record a video—no longer than three minutes—introducing themselves, their university, and their field of study.
In the video, they should also explain how the Bybit Scholarship would help them achieve their goals.
Once complete, the video should be shared publicly on X (tagging @BybitAfrica) or TikTok (tagging @Bybit.Africa) using the hashtags #WSOT2025 and #RewriteAndReshape. Finally, students must submit their entries through the official application link: https://bit.ly/BybitScholarships.
Funding Opportunities
The program aims to support at least 100 students, with scholarships ranging from USD 100 (KES 12,900) to USD 4,000 (KES 516,000). Bybit hopes that these funds will help recipients continue their studies, access resources, and develop the skills needed to thrive in an increasingly digital world.
