“A lot has been said about Rachael and I, and WE FELT it’s important to set the record straight to avoid blame games and unnecessary speculation. Rachael and I ended our 12-year marriage in 2023. This was a painful but ultimately irreversible decision, shaped by many factors,” he stated.

Without delving into specific details of these factors, Msanii firmly urged the public to "Kindly stop speculating or drawing conclusions without knowing the real reasons behind it."
Custody and Co-Parenting
A significant outcome of the marital separation is the court's decision to grant Joe Msanii full custody of their children.
He confirmed that he has since taken on the sole responsibility for their upkeep and all their needs.
Despite this primary custodial arrangement, the children maintain a vital connection with their mother.
“I have been solely responsible for their upkeep and all their needs. They, however, spend time with their mother twice a month and during half of the school holidays to bond with her.”

A Plea for Privacy
Mr. Msanii used his public statement to appeal for respect and privacy during what is undoubtedly a sensitive period for his family.
He articulated a strong request, stating, "I kindly urge everyone to embrace sobriety, respect boundaries, and refrain from involving themselves in matters that do not concern them. We have both moved on peacefully."
