Beauty influencer and entrepreneur Phoina Tosha has extended a kind gesture to singer Marya, weeks after the Chokoza hitmaker revealed she had suffered a stroke.

In a video shared online, Phoina’s staff were seen assisting Marya out of her car and walking her into the beauty spa. Once inside, the musician received a pedicure and manicure, with Phoina personally welcoming her and ensuring she felt comfortable.

A Moment of Healing and Self-Care

Marya appeared in high spirits throughout the session, smiling warmly and later showing off her freshly done nails.

Her visit marked a moment of progress since her emotional interview with comedian Eric Omondi, where she revealed that the stroke had left one side of her body paralysed.

The Unseen Side of Fame

Marya, born Mary Maina, is best known for her 2010 smash hit "Chokoza" featuring Avril. She recently disclosed that her stroke was caused by a blood clot that cut off oxygen flow to her brain.

Her close friend Avril updated fans through Instagram, sharing a statement from Marya’s family: “She has since been discharged and is recovering at home.

Physiotherapy is ongoing twice a day, and although the left side of her body remains unresponsive, we remain hopeful and encouraged by her strength.”

Marya’s story has reignited conversations about the challenges entertainers face beyond the limelight. Once a top star under the Ogopa Deejays label, she dominated airwaves with hits like "Hey Baby" and "Sishiki Simu."

However, she has also been open about financial hardships and career struggles after her early fame. “I became famous and got money at a very young age, but I had no guidance. Suddenly, I was broke. It was a mistake, but I learnt my lesson,” she admitted in a past interview.

A Journey of Hope and Resilience

Despite the setbacks, Marya’s latest public appearances and the overwhelming love from Kenyans highlight a new chapter—one of healing, hope, and second chances.

Fans flocked to social media to send Marya uplifting messages, showcasing a community that values solidarity and compassion.
