Zabron Singers Mark a Year Since Loss of Lead Vocalist Marco Joseph

One year ago, the Tanzanian gospel scene was plunged into mourning with the sudden passing of Zabron Singers’ lead vocalist, Marco Joseph.

Now, his fellow group members and fans are commemorating the first anniversary of his death, remembering his musical talent and lasting contribution to the group.

The anniversary was marked by a heartfelt social media post from singer Japhet Zabron.

In the post, Japhet expressed the pain of the past year, writing in Swahili that “it has been a year now.”

The post, which included photos of the two singers together, served as a poignant tribute to his late colleague, acknowledging the ongoing grief felt by the group and their followers.

“Maybe,… ?It's okay not to be okay..! They called us twins ….When you're not on tour, I was asked where your twin is…. It has been a Year now ??….(A year has passed). The only courage to forget the pain is my prayer to my God. Oh God, remind us to count our days all the days of our lives. Amen,” Japhet Zabron wrote.

The emotional track, titled "Imeniuma Sana," translates from Swahili to "This has pained me greatly."
