What started as a distraction soon developed into an expensive addiction that affected both her mental health and overall well-being. At her lowest moments, she even contemplated ending her life.

It was only after confiding in her mother that Angela found the strength to begin her recovery. She credits her mother’s unconditional support for keeping her alive and helping her face her struggles.

Looking back, the actress admitted that she might have chosen a different career path if given another chance. She also urged others to embrace their humanity, reminding fans that no one is perfect.

Reclaiming Her Life and Love

Beyond her health struggles, Angela also reflected on her acting career and personal choices. Despite the popularity of Tahidi High, she felt underpaid and financially strained, often forced to live beyond her means to keep up with societal expectations.

Her love life also surprised many. Angela admitted that she rejected at least three marriage proposals. When asked why, she explained that the men were often confusing her real self with the fictional Miss Morgan.

“Before you judge me... are you marrying Angel Waruinge, or are you marrying Miss Morgan? That’s a mistake,” she said. “When you meet a partner who wants the power of your identity, then there’s a mistake.”
