How Tall Are You?

The conversation shifted to age and height—classic interview territory but full of laughs.

Margaret: “I’m around 5’4 or 5’5 and I’m 24 years old.”

Gloria: “I think I’m 5’3 and I’m also 24 years.”

Last Google Search? It Gets Real

Kalondu cheekily asked Margaret what she last searched online.

Gloria, when asked about her most embarrassing search, took out her phone and double-checked:

“I think I’ll have to check. I don’t have anything embarrassing.”

Who’s Always on Call?

The interview took an even lighter turn when Kalondu asked them on who they call the most.

“I call my cousin Vera or Munga.” Margaret said, while Gloria replied that it was Margaret and another close friend of hers. “I’m also not a good texter,” she added.

Most Used Emoji?

When it comes to the most used emoji, Margaret said that it was the prayer emoji.

Food Talk: Mukimo and Pilau Wars

Kalondu then asked on what their favourite, least favourite and best cooking meals are.

“My favourite is biryani, my least favourite is mukimo and I cook pilau best, “Gloria said, while Margaret replied, “My favourite is ugali with any combo, my least favourite is nduma and I cook ugali nyama best.”

Before the Fame

Before forming We Are Nubia, the two had very different hustles.

Margaret: “I used to work as an attendant at African Inspire. I earned 500 shillings a day.”

Gloria: “I was thrifting and selling clothes. On a good day, I’d make 4,000 shillings.”
