A comparison of traffic accident fatalities in Kenya between 2023 and 2024 reveals significant trends across different age groups.

While the neonatal and under-1 age categories saw a slight increase in deaths from 2023 to 2024, the 1-4 age group experienced a concerning jump from 44 to 56 fatalities.

The 15-24 and 25-34 age brackets consistently recorded the highest numbers of deaths in both years.

Notably, the 25-34 age group saw a drop from 504 to 468 deaths, marking it as the most affected demographic in 2024.

Conversely, the 35-44 and 45-54 age groups showed a rise in fatalities from 2023 to 2024.

The 55-64 and 65+ categories maintained relatively stable numbers, with a slight decrease in the older age group.
