How China's Juncao mushroom farming is supporting school feeding in Rwanda

Juncao is a hybrid grass mainly used as a substrate for growing edible and medicinal mushrooms.

It matters because it's a nutritious boost for school children, cost cost-saving supplement, and it's a sustainable model. 

Mushrooms now feature in school meals at least twice a week.

The technology was developed in the 1980s by Professor Lin Zhanxi.
