Simon Kabu and Sarah Mtalii, the estranged co-founders of Bonfire Adventures, have reignited public curiosity after appearing together in a recent video taken in Tanzania.
Shared on 30 June 2025, the footage shows the pair enjoying a yacht trip in Dar es Salaam, fuelling speculation about the current status of their relationship—both personal and professional.
In the video, Simon is seen dancing with Sarah while she watches on with a smile, later joining him for a light-hearted routine mimicking the viral "Wa Wa Wa in the World" dance.
This is the first time the two have posted about each other on social media while away on holiday together, suggesting a possible softening of tensions.
Yet, the nature of their interaction remains unclear—whether it hints at reconciliation or is simply business-related.
The timing of their appearance coincides with Bonfire Adventures being crowned Kenya’s Leading Tours and Travel Agency at the 2025 World Travel Awards.
An X post by Bonfire Safaris confirmed both their attendance and a team celebration, lending credibility to the idea that this trip was primarily work-focused.
Their joint presence, however, stands in stark contrast to the highly publicised friction that has played out in recent years.

Sarah, who now goes by Mtalii, publicly distanced herself from Simon earlier this year by dropping his surname and rebranding.
She revealed in 2024 that she had mentally checked out of the marriage as far back as 2022, a decision shaped by personal strain and escalating legal tensions.
Just weeks before the Tanzania trip, Simon secured a court victory in a defamation case against Sarah. The High Court imposed a gag order preventing her and her affiliates from publishing or circulating defamatory material, including a controversial internal company memo.
Sarah was also ordered to delete existing statements and issue a formal apology. The ruling was hailed by Simon’s legal team as a win for dignity and reputation.
The saga of the Kabus is one Kenyans have followed for years, fascinated by the mix of romance, success, and scandal.
The pair met online in 2007 and quickly built a personal and professional empire. Their love story, punctuated by grand gestures like a proposal in Amboseli and a wedding by Lake Naivasha, seemed aspirational.
They welcomed their first child in 2013 and a daughter in 2017, often portraying a united front.
But the picture began to crack in 2021 when Sarah posted cryptic social media updates about Simon’s alleged questionable associations.
Matters escalated in 2022 when she accused him of denying her access to their children. Although she later apologised and the couple announced they were expecting another baby, the peace was short-lived.

By the end of 2024, Sarah had moved out and opened up about past infidelity. Their marital split was now unmistakable, with court battles further widening the rift.
