A few days ago, I had the pleasure of attending the official launch of Dairyland Drinking Chocolate at the stylish Trademark Hotel, located within Village Market.
The event, which was all about fun, flavour, and flair, introduced Kenyans to Dairyland’s latest indulgence — a rich, velvety chocolate drink that’s about to become your next favorite sip.
After months of crafting, tasting, and perfecting the product, Dairyland finally unveiled its Drinking Chocolate to a crowd filled with excitement, creativity, and good vibes.
The launch brought together a curated guest list of some of Kenya’s top celebrities and content creators, who came dressed to impress in their best retro-inspired outfits, fully embracing the themed dress code of the day.

A Blend of Chocolate, Creativity, and Celebrity Charm
The guest list read like a who’s who of Kenya’s entertainment and content creation scenes.
From award-winning actress Jacky Vike — who took home the title of “Best Dressed” on the mini-runway — to comedian Nasra Yusuff, podcaster Lydia KM, content creators like Carrie Wahu, Victor Peace, Temina, Wixx Mangutha, Stephanie Ng’ang’a, Sharon K Mwangi, and Esther Kazungu, and celebrated singer Wahu Kagwi, who attended with her daughter Tumiso — the event was undeniably star-studded.
Also spotted at the event was Milan Kabata, the Marketing Manager at Dairyland, who was on hand to welcome guests and introduce the brand’s newest product to the market.
Guests were not only treated to the launch of a new beverage but also to an immersive experience. The exquisite décor, curated by YDX, set the perfect mood for what turned out to be a glamorous and interactive afternoon.

Java House Brings the Flavour
One of the highlights of the event was the Java House activation, where professional baristas helped guests make the perfect cup of hot chocolate.
Featuring flavored syrups, cookies, and other gourmet touches from Java Love Pantry, the experience allowed attendees to experiment with different combinations and witness firsthand the versatility of the Dairyland Drinking Chocolate.
“Proud to have our very own baristas running the show at the @dairyland_ke Hot Chocolate Launch!” Java House shared on social media.
“They took guests through the art of making indulgent hot chocolate using @javalovepantry products, featuring our signature flavored syrups, cookies, and more.”

Retro Vibes and Engaging Activities
Staying true to the retro theme, the event featured a mini-runway where guests flaunted their outfits and personalities. It was a fun competition that ended with Jacky Vike being crowned best dressed. Attendees were also treated to interactive games, photo booths, and the opportunity to make their own cup of Drinking Chocolate, complete with the Dairyland logo artistically crafted on top.
The atmosphere was vibrant and light-hearted, perfectly reflecting Dairyland’s brand identity — innovative, fun-loving, and rooted in quality.

What Makes Dairyland Drinking Chocolate Special?
“After months of crafting, tasting, and perfecting, we’re proud to introduce our Drinking Chocolate. Packed with flavour and good vibes. Welcome to your next favourite sip,” Dairyland shared in a statement.
The product adds to the already diverse Dairyland portfolio, which includes ice creams, chocolates, yogurts, spreads, sauces, and various catering products.
It aligns with the brand’s focus on innovation and premium quality — a combination that has made Dairyland a trusted name not only in Kenya but also across Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, and South Sudan.

A Legacy of Flavour Since 1979
Founded in 1979, Dairyland began as a local ice cream brand and has since grown into one of East Africa’s leading names in dairy-based innovation. With the largest cold chain infrastructure and distribution network in the region, Dairyland ensures that its quality products are enjoyed far and wide.
Backed by a passionate and creative team, Dairyland continues to live up to its mission of delivering great-tasting products that bring joy to everyday life.
Whether you’re a fan of cozy hot drinks or looking for a new indulgence, the Dairyland Drinking Chocolate promises to be more than just a beverage — it's an experience. And if the launch event was any indication, Kenyans are more than ready to #SipItLoud.
