Super MCs Mwalimu Rachel and Lotan Salaipei took command of the main stage at the Ulinzi Sports Complex. They hosted the sold-out "One Night Only: Brunch Edition" concert in Nairobi for Mashujaa Day.
Microphones in hand beneath glittering chandeliers, the duo hyped up the audience and introduced the DJ sets. They commanded the crowd with fiery stage presence. They kept energy levels high as fans eagerly awaited American R&B star, Ne-Yo.

'Ne-Yo Luxe' Style on the Main Stage
The two hosts reflected the official event dress code, termed "Ne-Yo Luxe.” Mwalimu Rachel wore a sleeveless black mini dress featuring vertical white pinstripe details. She cinched her waist with a bold, wide metallic gold statement belt.
Her accessories included stacked gold bangles, drop earrings, and crimson-red T-strap heel sandals. She completed her outfit with a voluminous, naturally curly afro.

Lotan Salaipei presented a sleek, smart-casual look tailored for the daytime aesthetic. He wore a fitted olive-green crew-neck T-shirt tucked into crisp cream-tailored trousers. A woven brown belt secured his trousers.
He accessorised with dark-tinted sunglasses, classic dress sneakers, and gold wristbands.
Venue Setup
The venue grounds featured a black-and-gold theme with chess-inspired installations and floral arches. The daytime concert ran from 3 pm to 11 pm at the sports facility.
Fenon Premium Productions and Radio Africa Group organised the event, with Stanbic Bank as lead sponsor.
Ticket holders verified their entry through Ticket Yetu to receive event wristbands. Standard Gold tickets were priced at KSh 15,000. The Gold Couple package for two tickets sold for KSh 20,000.

Exclusive zones like the Regal Lounge Platinum provided draped seating, chandeliers, and live grill stations.
Colour Taglines and Musical Roster
Organisers assigned eight event colours to musical taglines. Gold was tagged as "made to shine.” Olive Green was defined as "naturally in tune.”
Black was listed as "smooth like the classics.” Navy was tagged as "deep like the feeling of love." Chocolate was described as "rich like the bassline."
A DJ lineup featuring DJ Xclusive, DJ Andy Young, DJ Chunky, and DJ Jesse performed from the decks. UK band Sol & The Gang also joined the live entertainment roster.

Ne-Yo's Return
This daytime brunch format combined live music with a relaxed social setting under the sun. The concert marks Ne-Yo's first performance in Kenya in 11 years. He last performed in the country in 2015 during the third season of Coke Studio Africa.
