The reality television landscape in Kenya just got a sparkling upgrade with the arrival of the highly anticipated reality series “The Mommy Club Nairobi”.
The official launch of the Reality Series was held on Friday at the stylish Aspire Centre. The evening brought together cast members, production crew, media representatives, and industry stakeholders to officially unveil the newest addition to East Africa’s growing reality TV portfolio.
The launch event captured the essence of what The Mommy Club Nairobi promises to deliver, opulence, motherhood, ambition, and raw, unfiltered womanhood.

Attendees had an opportunity to get an intimate viewing of the first episode of the new series. The screening offered a glimpse into the lives of five dynamic Kenyan mothers as they navigate motherhood, ambition, and the vibrant culture of Nairobi.
Together with the screening was a panel discussion featuring candid conversations with the cast and executive producer Eugene Mbugua.
The discussion delved into the show's themes, including the complexities of modern parenting, personal growth, and the importance of authentic storytelling in reality television.
Adapted from the popular South African and Tanzanian editions, The Mommy Club Nairobi features a powerful lineup of women who balance high-profile careers, motherhood, and social life under the scrutiny of cameras and fans alike.

I caught up with the show’s main cast — actress Jackie Matubia, DJ and media personality Pierra Makena, content creator Lynne Njihia, beauty entrepreneur Carey Priscilla, and certified life coach Ofentse Tsipa — all of whom bring their unique flair and personal stories to the screen.
Matubia, who glowed with excitement, revealed that landing a role in the series was a dream she had long manifested.
“Back in 2023, I called it when The Mommy Club SA premiered, I posted on Instagram, saying, “Mommy Club KE!” I kept manifesting by telling everyone, “Mommy Club Kenya is happening!” So, when the call finally came, I was like, “Manifestation works!”
Furthermore, as a huge reality TV fan, joining this show was a dream come true. It felt like my vibe,” she shared.
Behind the scenes, the series is in the able hands of Eugene Mbugua, a household name in Kenya’s reality television production.
With successful credits like Sol Family, Being Bahati, and The Real Housewives of Nairobi, Mbugua's involvement assures viewers of premium storytelling and top-tier production.
“Our goal was to create a platform where these incredible women could share their stories authentically. We believe that viewers will get inspiration from seeing how the ladies manage hurdles of life through their resilience, while they navigate the challenges, and of course, the joys of motherhood,” Executive producer Eugene Mbugua stated.
As the cameras now turn to capture the glitz, drama, parenting challenges, and personal wins of these phenomenal women, The Mommy Club Nairobi sets the stage for an honest, entertaining, and empowering look at what it means to be a modern mom in Nairobi.
The show doesn’t just flaunt lifestyle — it promises depth, sisterhood, and plenty of binge-worthy moments.

Below are short profiles of the cast and what each of these women brings to this bold, new chapter in African reality TV.
Meet the moms:
Jackie Matubia is a Kalasha-nominated actress, digital content creator, and influencer.
The 34-year-old is the mother of two girls, Zari (9) and Zendaya (2), from different fathers. She is open about her family dynamics, often sharing heartfelt messages with her children’s fathers on social media. Despite public speculation surrounding her relationships, Jackie values family and strives for her daughters to have meaningful connections with their respective fathers and grandparents.
“I watched The Mommy Club in South Africa and Tanzania and thought — this show needs a Nairobi edition, and I need to be in it,” she shared.

DJ Pierra Makena is a 43-year-old DJ and actress who shares a close bond with her charismatic daughter, Ricca (8).

Known for her humorous skits and TikTok posts with her husband, Carey recently made headlines by discussing her decision to ask her husband to get a vasectomy.

Lynne Njihia is a 23-year-old mother of one daughter and fiancée to comedian Eric Omondi. Lynne is a brand influencer, content creator, commercial model, and dancer.
She candidly shares her journey through motherhood and post-pregnancy weight loss, connecting with a younger audience through her relatability and authenticity.

Ofentse Tsipa is a 36-year-old South African-born life coach living in Kenya with her Dutch husband and their two children, a son and a daughter.
Ofentse helps individuals worldwide manifest their dreams, improve financial decisions, and embrace self-discovery.
A student at United States International University-Africa (USIU-Africa), she openly shares the joys and challenges of motherhood, marriage, and relationships through social media and her podcast, which reflects her perfectionist personality and life experiences. She is also the sister to Shaka Ilembe’s Lemohang Tsipa.
“We are thrilled to bring The Mommy Club to Kenya and shine a light on the multifaceted lives of these remarkable women,” says Patricia Gichinga, Head of Production, M-Net.
“The show celebrates motherhood in all its dimensions – from the joys and struggles of raising children to the pursuit of personal dreams – all set against the dynamic and vibrant culture of Nairobi,”.
