On May 26, 2025, Kenyan gospel icon Reverend Lucy Natasha and her Canadian-Indian husband, Prophet Stanley Carmel, celebrated a vibrant Indian wedding in Kerala, India.
The event, shared exuberantly across their social media, marked a radiant milestone in their love story, blending faith, culture, and devotion.
Their posts, brimming with gratitude, captivated fans and dispelled rumours of a strained marriage.
Carmel, clearly smitten, wrote on Instagram, “This song is my gift to the woman who turned my search into a sacred journey.”
Natasha echoed his sentiment, sharing, “Our father, Pastor Saji Daniel, launched our marriage into divine alignment and generational favour. We pray everyone connected to us walks in that fullness. #BetterTogether #IndianWedding.”

She added, “With fire, we sealed what heaven had written—this is no ordinary love, it’s a prophetic bond.”
Before the ceremony, Natasha posted, “Heaven blessed our union, and the table responded with abundance. We pray for no lack in our families in Jesus’ name.”
A Love Story's Grand Celebration
Their romance began in 2017 when Carmel discovered Natasha’s Instagram video. He sent her a message, only to be “blue-ticked” for two years.
Their paths crossed in 2019 during a US mission trip, sparking a connection that led to a colourful Nairobi wedding on January 29, 2022.
Attended mostly by Natasha’s loved ones, the ceremony set the stage for their “couple goals” reputation. Yet, by 2025, whispers of a split emerged.
Carmel quashed these with a heartfelt video from a plush Indian hotel, set to Juma Jux’s Nisiulizwe.

A Warm Indian Welcome
“Forever isn’t long enough with you, Tasha,” he wrote. “I can’t wait to make you my wife tomorrow in our beautiful Indian wedding.”
Natasha’s first trip to India since their 2022 wedding was a spectacle. On May 21, she arrived in Kerala—Carmel’s hometown—with her brother, Shafique.
At the airport, three women adorned them with vibrant flower garlands, or malas, before a convoy of luxury cars, led by a white Range Rover, whisked them to an opulent hotel.
“We’ve landed in Kerala, God’s Own Town,” Natasha posted. “Thank you for such a warm reception. We declare blessings upon your families.” Her mother, Pastor Esther Wanjiru Mugambi, stayed in Kenya, preaching at their city church.
The couple’s journey hasn’t been without scrutiny. Fans have pressed Natasha about starting a family, especially after three years of marriage.
When asked directly, she responded, “Keep praying.” Recently, they appeared with a baby, its face hidden, sparking speculation. Carmel’s earlier wish for five children had left Natasha visibly surprised, adding to the intrigue.
