Sean “Diddy” Combs is facing explosive new allegations in his ongoing sex-trafficking trial in New York, where a court heard he allegedly attempted to break into ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura’s apartment using a hammer following a 2016 assault.

Combs, 55, who has pleaded not guilty to a series of charges including sex trafficking, racketeering, and transporting individuals to engage in prostitution, could face life in prison if convicted.

During Monday’s proceedings, the jury was shown security footage of the Intercontinental Hotel assault that allegedly took place in 2016.

Following that incident, Cassie’s former best friend Kerry Morgan gave testimony recounting the terrifying events that unfolded shortly after.

Morgan told the court she was at Ventura’s Los Angeles apartment when Combs allegedly tried to force his way inside. “I watched him banging on the door with a hammer through the peephole,” she said, describing the moment as terrifying.

She added that Cassie appeared so emotionally drained at the time that she “didn’t care if he came in and killed her.”

Police reportedly arrived around three hours later, but no complaint was filed. According to Morgan, this was not an isolated incident.

She testified about a trip to Jamaica during which Combs allegedly dragged Ventura by her hair down a 50-yard hallway because she was “taking too long in the bathroom.”

Morgan also claimed that she herself suffered violence at the hands of Combs. In 2018, she said he choked her and threw a wooden hanger at her head during a jealous outburst about Ventura.

She was treated for a concussion and required urgent medical care following the incident.

The incident marked the end of Morgan’s long-standing friendship with Ventura, which had lasted 17 years.

She further revealed that a month later, Ventura allegedly met her at a pizza place in West Hollywood and offered her $30,000 to sign a non-disclosure agreement.

Morgan agreed, and the two have not spoken since. “I draw my line at physical abuse,” she told the court.

After Morgan’s testimony, former personal assistant David James took the stand. James said he regularly worked 20-hour days, six to seven days a week for Combs, and recalled once being told by a senior staff member that “this is Mr Combs’ kingdom. We’re all here to serve it.”

James also recounted a disturbing conversation overheard during a car ride in Manhattan. When asked about Cassie, Combs allegedly said, “Cassie’s good. I got her right where I want her. She’s young… very mouldable.”

The trial is set to resume on Tuesday with further testimony from James.
