Nairobi County’s Environment Chief Officer, Geoffrey Mosiria, recently stirred public discourse when he advised embattled businessman Khalif Kairo to steer clear of women during a season of rebuilding.

The advice was captured in a video clip where the politician speaks directly to Kairo, stressing the need for privacy and focus.

“There is one thing I have realized, there was also a time I was up and I came down. And there is only one thing that brings us down. Women. So my brother, my advice, let your thing be like a password,” Mosiria stated.

He also described Kairo as a genuine, hardworking, and God-fearing man, urging Kenyans to support his business ventures now that he’s back in the game.

Mosiria’s broader message, as reported by Drenews, warned young Kenyans against chasing quick wealth and succumbing to romantic pressures, which he believes often lead to economic ruin or crime.

Reactions from Kenyans

The advice quickly sparked a wave of reactions on X, reflecting a mix of skepticism and humor among Kenyans. @lisakimwaki pointed out Kairo’s apparent disregard for the advice, commenting, “He already has a new one sitting on the co-driver’s seat, so this is wasted advice.”

@Omwanga2 echoed the sentiment with a playful jab, saying, “Utamuona na wanawake bado ,” suggesting Kairo is unlikely to change his ways.

@states_79 took a more critical tone, stating, “Goefry from 2027 atakua jobless,” implying Mosiria’s advice might soon lose relevance.

Meanwhile, @tweetfrommelloh simply noted, “Na haskizi,” indicating that Kairo isn’t listening. The reactions highlight a public perception that Kairo, known for his extravagant lifestyle, may not be ready to heed Mosiria’s call for restraint, especially given his history of publicized relationships.

Kairo’s Year and Business Relaunch

Kairo’s 2025 has been a rollercoaster. The young entrepreneur, who runs Kai and Karo, a car import business, faced significant legal troubles earlier this year.

In January, he was arrested after a client accused him of selling a car with an outstanding loan, leading to its repossession, as reported by The Express Tribune.

This followed another detention in December 2024 at Kasarani Police Station over a fraudulent case involving millions paid for undelivered high-end cars.

Kairo spent months in remand prison before his recent release, with his bond reduced from KSh 2 million to KSh 500,000.

Since his release, Kairo has been making big moves to relaunch Kai and Karo, signaling a determined comeback.

He’s also ventured into aviation with Jetman Global, focusing on aircraft leasing and sales. Despite his legal challenges, Kairo appears to be regaining his footing, with many Kenyans watching closely to see if his renewed success will align with Mosiria’s advice—or if he’ll continue on his own path.
