WE ARE TOLD of free drama that unfolded at a popular club in one of the city’s upscale neighbourhoods during the Easter weekend. A senior ministry official and his mistress are alleged to have caused a scandal that left everyone talking about it. Our mole whispers that the man, well-known in political circles, had reserved a VIP table for the night. But things took a wild turn when his wife unexpectedly showed up and confronted the pair in front of shocked partygoers. Before security could intervene, drinks had been thrown and the confrontation had turned into a reportedly full-blown ugly scene, with phones raised to record. By the time oher revelers realised he was a big man, he had purportedly slipped out through a back exit, leaving his mistress to face the chaos alone.
***A LITTLE-KNOWN MP from the Eastern region has reportedly raised eyebrows with his unusual behaviour toward guests invited to committee meetings where he serves. Almost without fail, he’s the first to rush out and escort the visitors, pretending to be collecting their contacts - though insiders supposedly suspect he has other undisclosed motives. Whether his intentions are good or questionable remains unclear to everyone but himself. Recently, a fellow committee member was overheard whispering to a colleague that the MP’s antics are purportedly becoming embarrassing, casting them as a crafty lot before the press. Plans are reportedly underway to confront him tell him off over his unbecoming conduct.

A FIRST-TERM SENATOR from a cosmopolitan county has reportedly become the subject of discussion among staff at his parliamentary office. He is always moody and no longer entertains guests coming to visit him. We are told he has instructed his secretaries not to allow anyone anymore to come to the office to see him regardless of who or what they want. While not many know the sudden change in behaviour, our mole whispers that the ground has become hostile and he allegedly might not return to the House after the next election. The man is facing strong opposition from a former powerful individual he overheard saying he wants to shift focus to the county and not Nairobi anymore to try and salvage his image.

IT IS OFTEN said that charity begins at home, but for this senator the opposite seems true. A newly formed caucus of local leaders has been organising fundraising events for churches across their counties, while simultaneously rallying support for the area leaders. However, this initiative has become a supposed headache for the senator. He is allegedly reluctant to host the event in his own county anytime soon, citing unfavourable circumstances. He has already postponed three events planned for his county, reportedly claiming he needs more time to plan and strategise. His colleagues are, however, in the dark about this trick.
