Kenyan actress Diana Luvanda has expressed her excitement after landing her first acting role in a Nigerian film.
Luvanda revealed this via her Instagram a day ago where she revealed that it is her first time acting in a Nollywood film after several attempts.
The beauty said she has been a huge fan of Nigerian movies since her childhood and her being cast in one of the films she has been following closely is like a dream come true.
“I grew up watching Nollywood movies but never knew I would get here at some point. I am beyond excited to share a piece of my heart with you today. After months of hard work, dedication, and countless late nights, my first Nollywood project, “Love and Motivation,” is dropping today at 8:30pm! Kenyan time,” she said, referring to April 29 2025.

The actress took his fans on a journey from Kenya to Nigeria and some of the things she had to relearn, especially the West African culture which is vastly different from that of East Africa.
Luvanda said that the arrival of 'Love and Motivation' has not been easy as she had to sacrifice her leisure time at some point to ensure she pleases her fans on the screen, considering that this was her first project in the wider Nollywood industry.
“This film has been a dream I’ve held close for so long. Being able to step into the vibrant world of Nollywood, all the way from Kenya, has truly been an incredible journey. I traveled to Nigeria, immersed myself in a new culture, and collaborated with amazing talents who inspired me every single day on set,” she reminisced.

Like teasing a synopsis, Luvanda gave her followers a sneak peek of what they can expect to see in the film, although she did so using words.
“‘Love and Motivation’ is more than just a film; it’s a story about passion, resilience, and the power of love. It showcases the beautiful blend of our African narratives and explores themes that resonate with us all. I poured my heart and soul into this project, and I can’t wait for you to experience it!”
She closed by thanking all her fans who have walked the acting journey together, saying they give her a lot of energy to continue.

“Share your thoughts, and support my journey! Your encouragement means the world to me, and I would be so grateful for your support in making this dream a reality. Together, let’s uplift our stories and talents on the global stage!”
Although Luvanda is a new name in Nollywood movies, in the local acting industry, she is a household name in various movies such as Zari which airs on Maisha Magic, Jiji and The Caller both airing on Showmax.
