Why Huddah Monroe Feels Being Born Black is a Curse

Beauty queen, Huddah Monroe has claimed that being born black is a curse.

Through a series of posts on her Instagram stories, Huddah Monroe claimed that every time she looks in the mirror and realizes she is African, she blames her mother.

The beauty products entrepreneur said that she only wishes her mother would marry a white man to give birth to her instead of giving birth to her, as a black person, especially in Kenya.

She feels that Kenya is the wrong country that doesn’t deserve her as its citizen, citing various issues like rampant corruption in most sectors of the government.

“I was born in the wrong country; I always tell my mom I wish she married a white man,” Huddah said.

“Being born black with these black leaders is truly a curse, especially in Kenya,” she added.

According to Huddah, if she is to decide whom to be in her next life, she’ll better choose to be an alien than to be a black person, adding that the black race will always remain at the bottom in her pecking order.

The beauty mogul gave an example on how she has been frustrated by authorities in Kenya on matters her business, saying she’d rather close down and be poor than run a business venture that will lead her to losses due to what she termed as systems that no longer work.

“I said it and I will say it again, I will never ever bribe KRA officials. I’d rather close down because Rich Beauty is not my only source of income. You bribe them today, they find a place to come whenever they need small change for their girlfriends,” Huddah retorted.

According to Huddah, the government of the day is all to blame for every bad thing happening to people in many African countries from poverty to slow development.

“Doing business in Africa is like running a rat race that never ends. Because we are so limited in opportunities and many other things, plus our leaders don’t reason.”

“Poor governance has worsened poverty and slowed development in Africa. A white man is not our problem, it’s us! Hence cursed to be part of this continent,” she asserted.

Huddah revealed that her anger reached the boiling point when some officials approached her for a bribe because they feel she has money to give out given that she takes first class flights.
