Tanzanian singer Juma Jux and his Nigerian bride-to-be, Priscilla Ajoke Ojo, are counting down to their traditional wedding, set to take place on 17th April in Nigeria.

As anticipation builds, fans have noticed a significant update on Priscilla’s Instagram bio — she now refers to herself as Mrs Mkambala, adopting Jux’s family name. The artist’s full name is Juma Mussa Mkambala.

Over the weekend, Priscilla, a popular Nigerian content creator and daughter of Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo, was treated to a surprise bridal shower by her close friends.

The intimate celebration saw her dressed in a chic pink mini dress, while her friends wore vibrant Ankara prints to honour their cultural heritage.

"May the love, prayers, and blessings of our parents be the foundation on which we build our life together. Thank you Mum for being our rock, our guiding light, and our forever cheerleader."

In another romantic post dedicated to her fiancé, she added:

"My heart beats for you alone. In your eyes, my soul finds home. With every breath, I’ll love you true. Forever and always, my heart belongs to you."

The couple began their journey into matrimony earlier this year with a Nikkah ceremony held in Tanzania, followed by a civil wedding.

They later celebrated Priscilla’s 24th birthday in a desert in Saudi Arabia, a gesture that symbolised their commitment and new chapter together.

In a heartfelt birthday tribute to his bride, Jux expressed how her presence transformed his life:

"You coloured my life in ways I can't put into words. Having to spend this birthday as your husband is a gift I can never trade for anything. I pray to God for many years ahead filled with laughter, good health, love, peace, and all things beautiful. I LOVE YOU, my beautiful wife."

The couple’s journey has captivated fans across both Tanzania and Nigeria, not only for their public displays of affection but also for their stylish appearances.

Their pre-wedding outfits drew admiration online — so much so that their designer issued a warning to fellow creatives, threatening legal action against anyone who attempts to replicate the designs.

Last year, Jux addressed comments from some of Priscilla’s Nigerian fans, who were protective of her due to his past high-profile relationships.

“She is deeply loved in Nigeria. People treat her well and are protective of her — and rightly so,” Jux said at the time. “They care because she’s loved, and they’ve seen me in different relationships before.”
